Information about Hamish - Footscray tutor - (4 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Hamish:
21 year Biomedicine graduate, now studying medicine, originally from Ballarat and now living in Footscray. I really love biology and enjoy teaching it to other students. I achieved a raw study score of 44 in VCE biology and have scored First Class Honours for all biology subjects in Biomedicine. I am now studying Medicine at the University of Melbourne and have an in depth and thorough understanding of the subject.
Tutored 3 VCE Biology students and 1 primary school maths student in 2017.
I like to help students with specific problems they have with course content. Explaining difficult concepts using diagrams and other material can complement their normal school work very effectively. Also, using practise exams to make effective strategies when tackling certain questions is very important for year 12 exams. I find that 2 hours a week is better for the students as they have more time to ask questions and ensure all their coursework is covered. 1 hour a week is more than fine however.
