Information about Cameron - Montmorency tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Cameron **Removed By Admin**and I am a violin and viola teacher based in London. I currently have vacancies for new students commencing mid January 2016. I preferably teach at the student's home and work with all ages from beginner to advanced students. I adapt my teaching approach to best suit the individual student so they reap the maximum benefit.

As a performing violist I have played with the most renowned orchestras from Australia including the Melbourne Symphony, Queensland Symphony and Sydney Symphony. In London I have played as Principal Viola of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra as well as with Southbank Sinfonia and London Musical Arts Orchestra. I have also performed as soloist with Southbank Sinfonia at St. Martin in the Fields.

I hold a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium, a Bachelor of Music with class 1 honours in viola performance from the University of Queensland. As well as these I have completed the Professional Performance Programme at the Australian National Academy of Music.

Tuition Experience:

I am passionate about music education for all ages as I believe music is an integral part of a well-rounded education. I have enjoyed teaching privately and in schools for the past seven years in both individual and group contexts. A large component of my work in Southbank Sinfonia involved mentoring and leading workshops with school children of all ages. I have also led workshops with ensembles from regional Queensland as the violist of the Australian Youth Orchestra String Quartet.

I believe that everyone learns differently and as such I adapt my teaching approach depending on the particular needs of the student.
