Information about Amy - Bondi tutor
This is how 2 referees rated Amy:
Having graduated with a a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNSW, I am a Sydney based artist and art consultant living and working in the Eastern Suburbs. Specialising in acrylic, oil and large-scale mural artwork I have a solid technical understanding of painting, drawing from life, colour mixing, form, conceptual thinking as well as commercial thinking. My desire to become an art tutor stems from an understanding that formal school or university curriculums often don't have the time or resources to focus on individual needs and fundamental skills needed to create a practice and I'd really love to share my knowledge with both young and old who are starting out with painting and drawing.
My role as an art consultant and curator has seen me develop and run children's creative work-shop programs for school holidays, these workshops involved events, arts and crafts, drawing, acrylic and watercolour painting workshops. My career has also involved the mentoring and creative development of emerging artists in both concept development, using software to enhance artwork, providing tips on painting skills and conceptual thinking and also the practical sides of becoming an artist such as which materials to use, framing and installing.
My approach is unique to each individual, their needs and wants. I have a broad range of technical abilities as well as adaptable interpersonal skills that allow for my teaching style to shift and mould, my goal is to understand what each individual desires as well as individual learning styles and go from there.
