Information about Alison - Kenwick tutor

Personal Description:

My tutors and I have had years of experience as professional tutors in English and Mathematics. They have tutored hundreds of students of all ages and academic levels and are well-versed in handling any education difficulties.

Our belief is that our children today are “not learning the basics” as they should. Simple, basic language and maths skills are just not known. The consequence of this is “functionally illiterate” adults in the workplace. For example, they do not have the ability to write simple letters or emails with correct punctuation and spelling, or do simple maths calculations with fractions, decimals and percentages.

Tuition Experience:

Our centre employs staff who have undergone rigorous training in all areas of English and Mathematics. They have a very thorough understanding of these subjects and are rigorously tested on their understanding, as we believe that if someone does not fully understand a subject, they cannot teach it to the highest standard.
I myself, Alison, have been tutoring for over 20 years and have helped thousands of children and adults with our very select and thorough programmes using our Study Technology Methods.

Tutoring Approach:

Through our use of thorough assessments we ascertain a student's exact areas of difficulty in both English and Mathematics and then write programmes specifically tailored to handle these difficulties.

We have also had experience in assisting students with their GATE, NAPLAN and ATAR studies by ascertaining and handling any weak areas in English and Mathematics, or practising and revising already known areas, then giving them useful learning tools to increase their comprehension and vocabulary to also assist in sitting the tests.

We firmly believe in the BASICS of any subject and always work to ensure that all the basics in English and Mathematics are solid so that a student can build upon those skills.
