Information about Rowan - Holroyd tutor

Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Rowan and I am a high school graduate willing to help students improve their skills in both Italian and Advanced English. I tutor Italian Continuers and Extension for the HSC course; I offer help in the areas of speaking, writing, listening and comprehension.

I also tutor Advanced English. I am aware that the syllabus has changed for HSC 2019, however I offer help in developing writing skills, generating new ideas and structuring responses so as to strengthen essays, ultimately distinguishing you from the rest.

Tuition Experience:

During my HSC course, I came 1st place in both Continuers and Extension and received exceptional marks in both subjects. I am extremely passionate about the Italian language, therefore my lessons are guaranteed to be engaging and effective. I also received high marks in Advanced English, having placed 1st by the end of Semester 1 and 4th by Semester 2.

Tutoring Approach:

Rather than simply teaching content that is already taught at school, I focus on improving the skills of my students and enabling them to work independently. I believe that every student has potential; I am here to motivate you and push you to develop more skill in the selected areas of work and ultimately become confident in your own intellectual abilities. As I mentioned before, I am not re-teaching content. I believe creativity is extremely important within both subjects, hence my lessons aim to stimulate creative thinking. In this way, you will develop skills that distinguish you from the rest - that is exactly what you want during the HSC!
