Personal Description: I am a graduate from the University of Birmingham, gaining a 2:1 (Hons) degree in Medical Biochemistry. I am also a qualified teacher, having taught 11-18 year olds at a local high school for 2 years. I have taught both maths and science to GCSE level and Biology and Chemistry to A-level. I loved teaching but my real passion is medicine, so I am now studying medicine as a postgraduate at the University of Warwick. I am a sociable, friendly person who has tons of patience and have extensive previous experience tutoring students of all ages, ranging from 13-21 years of age

Tutoring Experience: I have been teaching as a secondary school teacher for 2 years at a high school in Birmingham.
I have taught both Maths and Science. I have taught Chemistry and Biology to A-level classes.

Tutoring Approach: My approach tends to be asking the pupil what he/she finds the most difficult, going through these aspects first to clarify any misconceptions and to share some of my knowledge and experience of studying and teaching GCSE's and A-Levels.

I assess the pupil's strengths and weaknesses and identify how best they learn (i.e visually, aurally, kinaesthetically)

I go through practice exam papers and also quiz pupils on the material we have just studied to see if they absorbed what was being taught in the session.

I make large posters with pupils as I find these helped me when I was revising/getting my head around difficult concepts.
