Personal Description: I am a primary school teacher living in Haverfordwest with my fiancé and two children. I have a degree in Environmental Science and worked as a Water Quality Scientist before completing my PGCE and qualifying to teach in 2009. My course covered the entire primary age range so I can teach every subject at primary level. I am also competant to teach up to GCSE level in Maths.
Tutoring Experience: As a qualified teacher I have experience teaching across the entire primary age range; from Foundation Phase up to Key Stage 2. I am currently teaching Science to all children (years 1 through to 6) in a local Preparatory School as well as being form tutor for year 4, and teaching English to years 4 to 6. I have also previously worked as a Learning Support Assistant, delivering various support programmes such as Accelerated Literacy to individuals and small groups.
Tutoring Approach: I believe that individualised learning is vital in order to maximise the learning potential of every child. The joy of private tutoring is the ability to tailor the learning specifically to the academic needs and learning style of that particular child. With a recent qualification I have up-to-the-minute methods and curriculum knowledge to enable me to help pupils think and learn as well as giving them the tools to become independant learners outside of my lesson time. I try to make my lessons relaxed, enjoyable and as interactive and engaging as possible.

From Jacqueline (5/5): (Primary Maths) My daughter (aged 8) is really enjoying her lessons, which are fun and relaxed, but she says she is still learning. Even when she does not understand something, Vicki phrases it in different ways and it does not dent my daughter's confidence. Vicki has identified some gaps in her previous learning, which she can help her with, so I am confident my daughter's skills will improve, whilst having a fun time. Thank you.
