Personal Description: I am a 53 year old female maths teacher.

Tutoring Experience: I teach mathematics at secondary level to years 11 - 16. I have recently tutored a year 6 student for two years in maths and tutored her to pass her selection test for the grammar school. I have also tutored a year 8 student for two years who really disliked maths and was very 'switched off'. He now thinks maths is fun and this is due to the fact that there are many ways to teach maths and to learn the fundamental skills needed to be able to tackle all maths topics.

Previous to this I have helped a student to pass his army maths test. I have tutored a year 9 student who went on to achieve level 7 in his SATs.

I also tutor adults in GCSE Maths.

Tutoring Approach: I have a variety of teaching styles depending on the age and ability of the student. I use online teaching materials and have access to practice papers and recently published resources. For the younger students and less able students I have a bank of activities that make learning more fun.
