Personal Description: I am 29 year old geophysics graduate with a undergraduate degree from Leeds University, a masters degree from Cambridge University and a PhD from Edinburgh University.

I have recently started a job as a software consultant and risk analyst.

Tutoring Experience: I have taught maths, physics, and computing to students of all levels at several different universities in both the UK and America.

I have also supervised undergraduate students through their final year dissertations.

I have demonstrated on field trips to both large groups of students during the day, and to small groups in a "workshop" setting in the evenings.

Tutoring Approach: I believe that everyone learns at different speeds and by different teaching methods. Having been exposed to numerous teachers and lecturers (both good and bad), I have learnt which methods work and which do not.

Maths and Physics are always seen as scary subjects which I do not think is the case - By showing how these subjects can be used in the real world it is possible to quickly gain an understanding of the theory and progress quickly.
