Information About Timothy

Personal Description: All of my GCSE and A-Level students have improved by at least a letter grade compared with their predicted grade. I also have a strong track record working with undergraduates and MA students, usually helping them to improve their grades by between 5 and 10 percentage points.

I am a PhD student in Social Policy, with a background (MA and BA) in Philosophy, Theology and Sociology. I help those in need of tutoring in Philosophy, Religious Studies, Sociology, Politics, Citizenship and English.

I am also an experienced Teaching Assistant in English at GCSE level. I have learnt English and Maths strictly to an advanced A-Level standard. I am especially qualified to work with students with learning difficulties and enthusiastic to work with all.

Tutoring Experience: As part of my PhD, I am required to cover undergraduate classes in politics, philosophy, theology and public policy.

I have been tutoring in Philosophy, Religious Studies, Sociology, Politics, Citizenship for three years.

I am a qualified Teaching Assistant for GCSE English, and have many years experience teaching English at GCSE and Level 2 standard.

Tutoring Approach: While following strict syllabus, I also like to provide students with the additional context they may not receive in the classroom.
