Personal Description: I am 66 years old and have worked for almost 30 years in Secondary Education before working in a local FE college as a Learning Support Tutor for some 15 years. I have experience of working with young people with Learning difficulties mainly with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Aspergers Syndrome.

Tutoring Experience: I spent almost thirty years teaching Chemistry, Physics and General Science most of that time as a Head of Department Teaching up to University Entrance level in Scotland before moving to Fleetwood to teach mainly up to GCSE Level. I then went into teaching in a FE college working for Learning support mainly in the School of Engineering most of that time in charge of the team of support staff working in Engineering. I retired from this in 1999.

Tutoring Approach: I try to find out what weaknesses and strengths my students have before trying to decide the best course forwards to help achieve the agreed goals. I feel I am friendly and have a good understanding of learning difficulties and how to help.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech (hons) 2.2 Chemistry, Scottish Teaching Certificate and several minor qualifications in Support plus 40 years experience in Education
