Personal Description: I am fifty six years old, married with three children and am studying for a Masters degree in English Literature ready to move to university level teaching. I enjoy home tutoring and have always had good relationships with the students.

Tutoring Experience: I qualified as a Teacher of English in 1995 and have taught in several local schools, the last one being a High School in Barnham where I was in post for six years. I have been a home tutor for the past two years and the work, in the 11-18 age range, has included English, English Literature and English as a Second or Other Language (ESOL) as well as entrance examinations for private schools. My students have achieved good results across the board.

Tutoring Approach: I am enthusiastic about English, savouring novels, plays and poetry during my teaching. I make every effort to make the time go quickly and have a laugh when a suitable opportunity presents itself.

Qualifications:

• BA (First Class Honours in English and Philosophy), Postgraduate Certificate in Education, Cert TESOL
