My son reluctantly acknowledged that he needed support with A Level Physics but after only one session with Sam is already feeling more confident. Sam is thorough and in addition to his excellent tutoring he provides notes and resources to further support his students.

Sam tutored my 15 year old son for about six months in Maths, Further Maths and Physics during the run up to school exams which replaced GCSEs in 2021. This was all during periods of lockdown and home schooling. My son was blown away by Sam’s knowledge of both subjects, found him easy to relate to and actually (miracle!) enjoyed the sessions. I have no doubt Sam made a major difference to my son’s ability and I know his confidence grew significantly. Sam was always super well-organised and professional. I was so grateful to find Sam through First Tutors when local options were not available. The virtual lessons worked brilliantly, in fact we found them just as effective and more convenient than in-person lessons.

Sam has a good understanding of our sons strengths and areas that require development - after 2 lessons! Our son is very positive and upbeat after his lesson and we are grateful for Sam’s help.

Despite a short tutoring period, Sam was helpful in reinforcing knowledge that I struggled with for Maths.

Sam is a diligent tuition teacher that endeavors pass great knowledge in the course of the tuition sessions. He ensures all of the content is grasped with great degree of understanding and applies simplistic analogies to explain the abstract contents .

Sam is an excellent tutor. He is enthusiastic and explains things clearly. He has a comprehensive knowledge of the syllabus and my granddaughter always looks forward to his lessons. We are extremely fortunate to have found him!

I have been very pleased with Sam's service. He has been reliable, punctual and more importantly he has really benefited my daughter by having one to one Maths sessions which I know she is finding helpful as he is having the time to explain techniques in more detail in a way that she can remember and understand. Early days yet but our daughter seems very happy with Sam, saying that he explains everything well, and not only works on revision but keeps updated with her current work, and is making sure that she understands thoroughly.

My daughter was struggling with her A2 physics particularly as she was not taking A2 maths. Sam was able to identify areas to concentrate on which would provide her with the confidence and understanding she needed. Without Sam's support I am sure our daughter would struggled to achieve a pass in the subject. We were delighted with Sam's tutoring and would definitely recommend him. We are also delighted to confirm that our daughter obtain placement in her preferred university!

Due to ill health my daughter has missed a considerable amount of school and AS maths preparation. She has only had a few lessons with Sam and has already made rapid progress.
