Personal Description: I have worked within the Civil Service for 5 years in the field of Crime and Justice. I have a BA Hons Criminology and an MA in Criminology where I achieved a distinction for my dissertation; which discussed London's gangs.
My specialisms include crime, particularly youth crime, gun and gang crime and violent crime.
I have extensive experience of carrying out research with violent criminals in the community and also within prisons. I have prepared and produced numerous academic documents and I am also experienced in tailoring academic research for practical use across Government departments.
I feel that I have a strong grasp of criminological theories and practice. I thoroughly enjoy the subject and am very enthusiastic about sharing the knowledge I have gained through both academic and practical work.
Tutoring Experience: I have experience of tutoring university students.
Tutoring Approach: I have a enthusiastic approach to tutoring where I aim to inspire and motivate students. I aim to advise and then to encourage students to develop their own ideas and arguments.
