Hello, I am a fully qualified teacher who enjoys working with children and ensuring that all have access to an education. Whether you are an able student or less able I work hard to find out how students learn best and work around them to get them the best possible mark.
I did my Mathematical Engineering degree at The University or Birmingham and teacher training at The University of Warwick.
I have been teaching since 2009 at a mixed 11-18 school in Birmingham. Teaching all levels from KS3 to KS5.
I have experience in teaching from levels 5-8 at KS3. GCSE for all exam boards at foundation and higher levels.
I also teach on the International Baccalaureate, teaching maths at studies level which i can also offer tutoring in - and A-level mathematics.
I will aim to initially find out about the learner and how best they learn. Then find out what areas they may be struggling with by talking to the student and parents and maybe getting the teacher to write a comment in the book. I think that it is important to work with the school to ensure progression.
Over the course of the Tuition I will hope to see progress in specified areas, working through plenty of questions and completing exam practise where applicable.
Hopefully it should be a hard-working and enjoyable experience for the tutee, as maths is best learnt with a relaxed yet focused mind.
I try to make everyone enjoy maths as much as I do.
