Personal Description: I am 58 and a fully qualified teacher. (Oxford University Department of Education, 1973.) I am very experienced schoolmaster and have held many positions, including that of Head. I am happily married (to a schoolteacher!) and have three children aged 21, 19 and 17.

Tutoring Experience: I have been teaching since 1973 and have held many different positions, principally in preparatory schools. I have tutored all over the world, including California, Rio de Janeiro, New York, London and other locations. I have specialised in English, French and Latin, and I am a qualified teacher of music. As far as English is concerned it might be of interest to know that I occasionally write articles for the Daily Telegraph, and with regard to French, I am currently a member of the department headed up by Nigel Pearce, the author of 'So you really want to learn French', which is published by Galore Park. Tutoring Approach: Friendly, relaxed but never casual. My tutees always seem to enjoy my tutorial sessions and they and their parents have often been most complimentary. I enjoy what I do and want to make any time with my tutees worthwhile.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts degree in Education
• Diploma of Associate of the Royal College of Teachers
• Fellow of the National College of Music, London
• Certificate of Education (DfFS registered) from Oxford University Education Department
