Information About Natalie

Personal Description: I am a kind, sympathetic and outgoing person. I love to help others and thoroughly enjoy working with students on a one-to-one basis to help them realise their true potential.

I have an honours degree (2:1) in Economics and Mathematics from Royal Holloway, University of London (2007). I then went on to do a Law conversion at the College of Law, Guildford, gaining a commendation in my LLB. I am currently undertaking my training at a law firm in Exeter and will qualify as a solicitor in March 2012.

I first began tutoring in my first year at University, teaching A-Level Economics and Mathematics. As I had completed the course myself only a year earlier, I found it is easy to relate to my tutee and to understand where they had difficulties. I have continued to tutor and now specialise in Economics, Mathematics and Law.

Tutoring Experience: I have tutored both Mathematics and Economics (A-Level and GSCE) on a consistent basis for the past 8 years, having been fortunate enough to build a reputation with a local schools (recommendations available).

Specifically, I have experience in teaching most areas of Mathematics including Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Probability and Calculus. I have also taught both Micro and Macro Economics.

I also have experience teaching law at University level and having enjoyed studying and currently practicing it myself, I feel I have the necessary knowledge and experience to help those learning the subject at school. I have tutored Law for the passed 2 years.

I have worked with people of ranging abilities, including those with acute learning difficulties. I believe that my age and individual approach to teaching each student helps me to stand out from other tutors. I also come from a long line of teachers which helps!

Tutoring Approach: My approach to tutoring is simple - find out what areas you need help with and focus on them! Different people respond to different teaching methods - some need careful organisation of their notes or a confidence boosting revision of the basics, others need to be shown the applicability of the subject they are studying. Whatever it is that you need help with, working on a one-to-one basis will enable me to elicit where your strengths and weaknesses lie and to create ways to improve and enhance your learning.

I hope to equip you with necessary learning and revision tools that will provide both present and future success!
