5 This combination of education, training and experience decisive in my success as a tutor.
6 I can teach the following subjects:
• English as a second language.
• Numeracy
• Basic IT
• Arabic language and Geography
I have a variety of practical experiences within the education sector as initially I taught 9-14 years old English as a foreign language in Libya. I have 5 years practical teaching in a classroom environment.
Subsequently I have worked as an Arabic bilingual assistant in different schools (Primary and secondary) in Bury and as part of my degree I have taken part in an assessed school based module with Sunning Hill Primary School in Bolton. My most recent experience has been teaching and motivating 16+ students within College and community settings basic skills for life curriculum concentrating on ESOL, LITERACY, NUMERACY and IT skills.

Tutoring Experience: I have excellent organization skills that include preparing my scheme of work, lesson plan, gathering materials and handouts that support my session. I always look for different ways; strategies and approaches that I can use to attract and motivate learners as well as enhancing the learning process and ensuring that all types of assessment are completed in a timely manner I feel these are strong points of mine.
As my motto is (failing to plan means planning to fail) I always have planned stops throughout the course to mark milestones, where I stop, listen, recap and question where I have been and where I am going, to establish and re-establish connections between the course material and its relevance to students lives, at that point I go back to my self evaluation sheets for each session to find out which part of the course went good and which needs improvement.
Working with Eccles College gave me the opportunity to gain good practical experience in preparing, marking and monitoring students’ City and Guilds Level1 exams. Beside strong communication skills this role required active listening when working and supporting students and giving equal opportunities to individuals according to their needs.
I worked with Training wise ( MANCAT) where I thought a wide range of adults with different abilities from all walks of life in community setting ESOL core curriculum including (pre-entry, Entry 1,2,3) with a national standard teaching using the key grammatical structures and syllabus at each level, meeting each student individual learning needs, from helping someone to feel more confident in filling forms, create CV to teach some one how to read, and assess their skills discuss their particular goals and needs to arrive at an individual learning plan and motivate students in ascertaining their inner strengths and abilities and discovering what truly inspires them. And perform basic administrative duties such as recording attendance and organizing student portfolio provide individual assistance to students as needed.

Tutoring Approach: Among the most satisfying experiences for me as a teacher has been instructing students on an individual basis in my class I believe this kind of one-on-one interaction to be essential to their development as an adult learner.
I always motivate my students to their best and extend their own personal limits, so I succeed to utilizing a verity of strategies to motivate and encourage positive interaction, by expanding upon previous knowledge and exploring new, uncharted territory which will increase their career opportunities.
My aim always is to provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages my students to trust their own opinions while fostering confidence in order for students to realize full potential, by helping them to improve their listening, writing, and speaking skills in every day English Language. I always keep record of my student’s progress and provide encouragement and feed back.
