Personal Description: I am a friendly, motivational and patient maths tutor. Maths can be a tricky subject, and practive does not always make perfect. This is why I believe you first need someone to involve you to understand the theory before practicing the steps. I aim to get children to interact with maths in a functional and relative way to help them fulfill their potential.
Tutoring Experience: I currently supply teach at a variety of schools in Middlesex and Hertfordshire. In addition, I also privately tutor several year 11 GCSE students, as well as a small group of year 10 students at the weekend. I acquired my PGCE in July 2010, and gained a thorough amount of experience at different and challenging schools.
Tutoring Approach: "Tell me and I'll forget, show me and I may remember, involve me and I'll understand." In my opinion, the more functional and applicable maths is, the more motivation and interest a pupil has in becoming good at it.
