Personal Description: Upon completion of my Law degree and being called to the Bar, I decided to pursue my passion for Philosophy and undertook a BA in Philosophy while working part-time as a legal adviser and court advocate. My training as a lawyer and my education as a philosopher means that I have an excellent ability to explain difficult concepts very simply.

During my time at King’s College, I was elected to the position of Student Councillor and was a member of the King’s College Debating Team. I have a wide range of non-academic academic interests ranging from film, theatre and acting to riding motorcycles. I am a calm and patient individual who greatly enjoys teaching others.

Tutoring Experience: I have a wide range of experience in teaching. I have taught subjects at a variety of levels ranging from KS2 through to PhD. Although I have most expertise in Philosophy and Law, I have taught individuals in a wide range of subjects including Maths, non-verbal reasoning, English and Psychology. I have also tutored on a range of study skills including exam preparation and research (especially for PhD students).

I have taught English as a foreign language at Victoria College in Egypt. Victoria College is one of the oldest and the most prestigious schools in Egypt boasting alumni such as Edward Said and Omar Sharif.

Tutoring Approach: I will first ascertain what the student wishes to achieve and then formulate a detailed plan as to how it can be achieved efficiently as possible. In addition to teaching students, I will be able to help with research for essays/dissertations, writing essays, editing essays and exam preparation. I have always considered my students’ difficulties and struggles to be my own.
