Personal Description: I am in my second year of teaching after completing my probation year. I am currently a supply teacher and have gained experience in many different schools and have witnessed many excellent strategies and techniques for teaching english and maths. I enjoy maths and english and find them enjoyable subjects to teach to children.

Tutoring Experience: I completed my teaching degree at the Jordanhill Campus of Strathclyde University with a second class degree. During my time at university I gained experience teaching children in primaries 1,2,4, and 6 and also completed a nursery placement. Since university I have had 2 years experience teaching all stages.

Tutoring Approach: I take a "fun with learning" approach when teaching. This includes active learning, using ICT and using childrens interests to motivate them. To begin with I will check to see where the child's learning is and ask the child how they would like me to help them. From here the child will mostly be in control of their own learning with my help and support provided.
