Personal Description: :
Coming from industry as a physicist of many years experience I started teaching in 2001. My key strengths are physics and mathematics with a large knowledge base. When not tutoring I can be found cycling, walking or training my dogs.

Tutoring Experience: :
Private teaching in physics from 2001 to 2006.
2006 onwards concentrated on physics and mathematics one to one tuition only.
Experienced in GCE, IGCSE and GCSE for both physics and mathematics with an extensive library of texts and past papers for all the popular specifications. All further mathematics pure and mechanics units also covered.

Tutoring Approach: :
Tutee led sessions: towards the end of the current session most of tutees discuss the areas to cover in the following meeting.
Prep is set and marked: Tutees receive prep relevant to the session and generally returned for marking before the follow-on session.
One-to-one phone, text or email support between sessions is available to all tutees: small issues usually resolved via these methods, more difficult ones resolved in follow on sessions.

• 2008: Elected Member of the Institute of Physics for contribution to physics education. - Institute of Physics (Professional)
• 2003: BSc (Honours) in Natural Science with Physics - Open University (Bachelors)
