Personal Description: A student about to start University on a Molecular Biology and Genetics course at Westminster University. Has always had a natural aptitude for the Sciences especially Biology. Enjoys exploring topics deeply to gain a firm understanding which allows connections within topics to be made much easier and often. Education is important to me and something I feel strongly about.
Tutoring Experience: Tutor two students for Biology at GCSE level in a classroom environment. I also was a volunteer at a tuition centre in East Ham as a administrator assistant the role has allowed me to pick up skills that will allow me to teach better such as communication skills and organisation.
Tutoring Approach: If all students are at same level I start with a mini lesson on a relevant topic. I try engage the students instead of just lectureing and prefer to prompt for answers or key point then telling them straight away as I want students to pick up skills thatl allow them to make links within and around topics. A follow up mini quiz will be set somewhere within the next lesson to test the students but most importantly remind them of what they've learnt.
