2008 to present Teacher of Music at Beaminster School, Beaminster (part-time)

Tutoring Approach: Music is fun! I believe that all aspects of music from composing, listening and performing can be taught in ways that make them engaging and enjoyable. I strongly believe that a practical approach to music (through composing and performing) is the best way to help the developing musician, even 'dry' academic aspects to a music syllabus may be taught in imaginative and enjoyable ways. My specialisms are composition, listening skills, music theory (harmony, counterpoint, orchestration, notation) and music history. I am delighted to help anyone with a desire to learn, whether it is a key stage 3 pupil, GCSE, A level student or adult learner. Please feel free to enquire.
