Personal Description: I am a Mum to three grown-up children, all living away from home. I am currently employed as a part-time, temporary, supply teacher throughout Ayrshire and as a result, am very flexible regarding hours for tuition.

Tutoring Experience: I qualified as a primary teacher in 1975 from Craigie College in Ayr. I taught in Renfrewshire up until I had my family. Once they were in full-time education, I started supply work and have done this ever since. I have a vast experience of all stages in primary education, from nursery through to primary 7. I also have experience in learning support and special needs. I have also supported pupils in secondary education.

Tutoring Approach: I like to tutor in my own home, where I have all my resources to hand and where the pupil can concentrate, without any distractions. I believe that a friendly, one-to-one relationship can build up the pupil's confidence.
