Personal Description: I have recently graduated from Portsmouth Univeristy where I studied History . I have spent the last 6 months gaining as much experience with children as possible, working with a range of ages and disabiliities. I begin my PGCE in history at Roehampton University in September.
My passion has always been with teaching and working with children. I am very enthusiastic and aim to get the best out of young people.

Tutoring Experience: My first opportunity to teach was provided by Badshot Lea Primary School through work experience when i was 15, and since then my enthusiasm for working in a school environment has grown. Through the years I have undergone many school based activities, from afternoon classroom reading with the children to day activities such as sports days. I have worked in both state schools and private schools, ranging in ages, therefore have acquired a huge understanding of the diverse syllabus in either schools and also the different teaching techniques. Since finishing University my aim was to increase my experience with children, and this has been achieved through not only paid employment, but also a number of voluntary placements. The fact that many of my positions have been voluntary highlights my dedication to this career path.

Tutoring Approach: Firstly it always best to get to know the child and there way of learning, this can be done by trying out different teaching techniques.
It would be my aim to make the learning of a subject fun, this can be done through visual aids, as well as comparisons with everyday life. These methods can also help with keeping the mind active, and being able to understand topics more easily.
Simplifying and going over things a number of times gives aid to the child remembering what they have been taught.
