Information About Lizzie
Personal Description: I am a 24 year and I have now been tutoring students on a one to one basis for over 4 years mainly teaching Maths with some Science. I have taught all ages from aged 8 - 18 and all abilities with some experience of students with learning difficulties. A lot of the students I teach are looking for extra help in the run up to their exams, mainly GCSEs but I have also taught Numeracy Level 2. I am also running Maths GCSE Revision workshops for small groups of students wanting to focus on particular topics
Tutoring Experience: While in sixth form I taught Year 7 Drama club every week day lunch time for two years. We had such a large group that we had to split them into two groups, but with so much raw talent the shows we put on were fantastic. The enthusiasm shown was an inspiration to carry onto our second successful year.
I am also about to go for some classroom experience at my old school which is a requirement for the uni course.
Tutoring Approach: Having had a tutor myself I understand its important to find the best way the tutee learns and structure a learning plan to suit the learning needs of the tutee. I am quite easy going and don't set too much homework! I also teach the tutee ways of passing exams with useful hints and tips for answering questions and making strong revision plan time tables - as well as teaching the subject!
