Personal Description: I am an Oxford graduate with an MA in Modern Languages. I love to travel and have spent time in Belgium as an aupair, Germany looking after handicapped adults and living in France for a year as part of my degree.

After university I stayed on in Oxford for a while tutoring for entrance exams, e.g. Harrow, and for French GCSE and 'A' level.

I then moved to London where I worked in the Market Research industry for 12 years.

Most recently I have been living in Barcelona where I have set up my own business as an Business English trainer working mainly for blue chip companies and government bodies. I have also taught exam preparation classes to teenagers and young adults preparing for university entry.

Tutoring Experience: Teaching English in France at a lycee and also to adults at the Chamber of Commerce.

Private tuition - entrance exams and GCSE and 'A' level French. Recently tutored a boy to a high grade 'A' in GCSE French.

Teaching in English in Barcelona - all levels from complete beginners to proficiency. Both small groups and one-to-ones. Both small groups and one-to-ones. Now teaching in London - high level directors in the city and footballers.

Spanish - I can teach Spanish up to GCSE level.

Tutoring Approach: I have a real passion for languages - I studied French, German and Latin to 'A' level and I also have a Spanish 'O' level.

I really believe that languages should be fun to learn and that is the teacher's responsibility to engage the students and show them the benefits of learning a new language and show them that it can be a fun experience. One student who was part of a group I was tutoring at a pre GSCE Easter course told me that, 'before the classes with you, I used to hate French - now I love it!' That meant so much to me.
