Personal Description: I am a fully qualified Primary teacher, registered with the General Teaching Council. I am currently working in a primary school in Troon. I am able to travel to most areas within Ayrshire.

Tutoring Experience: I have taught continuously since graduating 4 years ago in a variety of schools within South and East Ayrshire. I have gained experience teaching in every stage. My experience has also allowed me to work with children with additional support needs and children requiring one-to-one teaching.

Tutoring Approach: I am friendly, approachable and make learning fun. I employ interactive methods in line with new curriculum developments. I am aware of the need to put learning into context and everyday situations, especially for those children requiring extra support. I have high aspirations and expectations of the children I teach and help them to gain confidence in their own abilities through the use of praise and by breaking the learning and teaching into smaller manageable tasks. I encourage children to ask questions about their work to produce a greater level of understanding.

Qualifications:

• I have a BSc (hons) Biomedical Sciences and a PGCE Primary Education.
