Personal Description: With nearly 30 years teaching and tutoring experience in English, I help students improve their examination grades. While specialising in preparing pupils for A-level, GCSE and Common Entrance English examinations, I cater for a broad range of backgrounds and abilities, from those with learning difficulties, right through to scholarship candidates.

Tutoring Experience: Qualified English teacher who has taught across all secondary age ranges, right up to A Level. I have experience of both Secondary Modern and Grammar School English departments.

Tutoring Approach: My methods involve plenty of encouragement and praise, so that pupils feel positive about their English work. This increases their desire to succeed. Thus they achieve their potential.
I start by discussing with students and their parents areas of difficulty, at a free "taster" session. I then agree a tailored programme of tuition. My teaching always helps pupils improve their grades.
