Information About Jay

Personal Description: 32 years old, Male, As well as tutoring, I work full-time as a maths teacher in a High School. You want to be sure that the person you choose is properly qualified to provide the service you need; choosing a qualified and working maths teacher as a tutor ensures that you have someone registered with the General Teaching Council of England (GTCE) and who has also passed enhanced Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) checks. And, because I am a specialist, I offer personal tuition in Mathematics only

Tutoring Experience: 11 years teaching experience Maths , Common Entrance exams, 11+, Adult literacy and Numeracy Personal Description: I offer friendly personal tuition in mathematics to children and adults to GCSE level. I have extensive experience of working with children of high school age, as well as adults wishing to gain qualifications in maths… Tutoring Experience: I have been a maths teacher for just over 11 years - for most of these as Head of Department. I have also many years experience of working for the UK's main GCSE examining board as a GCSE marker.

I have also tutored many young people - mostly to GCSE.

Tutoring Approach: Motivational, empathetic, calm, knowledgable Tutoring Approach: Engaging a tutor is not always an easy or straightforward decision. Schools work hard to ensure that they help students as much as possible. However, there are particular times - the run-up to GCSE exams for example - when a good tutor can prove invaluable, covering in 1 hour what a class teacher may take several lessons to achieve.

I have no minimum number or frequency of lessons; you decide exactly how much help is needed.
