Personal Description: This year I graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Theology and Religious Studies and I am now living in Oxford where I am studying a postgraduate course at Wycliffe Hall.
I am a friendly and approachable person and have a passion for teaching and engaging with others. I can help with Religious Studies, French and Music, all of which I studied at A-level.
Tutoring Experience: This will be my first paid tutoring job although I have a great deal of experience in working with children and young people in a non-academic setting.
I have worked on a number of residential courses for children such as Pro Corda and Studio Cambridge, all of which have given me experience in working with young people. For a number of years I have enjoyed leading youth groups and children's clubs.
I am also a registered tutor for Blue Tutors, a tutoring agency which interviews and carefully selects all their tutors to ensure only high quality tutors can advertise through their company.
Tutoring Approach: I am organised and responsible and I would like to get the best out of my pupil while at the same time allowing them to enjoy the learning experience. I am passionate about what I teach and I believe this is the best way to inspire others to learn.
I understand that everyone learns in different ways and at different speeds and I would adapt my teaching methods to suit the individual. I believe that creative and interactive learning is very effective and I would like to create an atmosphere in lessons where the pupil felt able to think independently and have ideas of their own.
