Personal Description: I have been a Primary teacher for four years. I am dedicated to the progress and achievements of my pupils and believe in promoting a positive attitude to learning. I am able to tutor for all areas of the Primary curriculum, to all age ranges. I have also had experience of working with children who require additional support for learning.

Tutoring Experience: I have taught all age ranges and in all areas of the curriculum. I regularly attend CPD courses to keep myself up to date with the latest teaching strategies and have been heavily involved in the introduction of the Curriculum for Excellence in the schools I have worked in.

Tutoring Approach: I believe in getting to know the children I work with to better understand their learning needs. I believe that children engage better with their learning when it is relevant and fun for them. I encourage children to take responsibility for their own learning by setting challenges and homework tasks. I use ICT and games to enhance children's learning and make it more interactive and fun. I believe in celebrating success, big or small and that children should feel valued and supported by their tutor/teacher.

Qualifications:

• BA Politics and Sociology, PGDE in Teaching with Merit
