Personal Description: I am an ICT Teacher and an OCR National in ICT Level 1 and 2 Visiting Moderator, after studying a PGCE in ICT. I am passionate about my subject and enjoy teaching it. The new national curriculum has allowed my subject to become more imaginative in lessons, but with this comes the greater need for technological experience, which I gained studying a Bachelors of Science with Honours in Internet Technology, including a placement year working as a Web Designer.

Tutoring Experience: I qualified as a teacher in August 2008. Since qualifying I have covered maternity leave from September 2008 to April 2009 at the school where I completed my Final Teaching Placement. I have experience teaching KS3, KS4 and Sixth Form. Currently I work as a full time ICT Teacher in Nottinghamshire teaching KS3 and KS4. Recently I have been 1:1 tutoring a Year 11 pupil to help them achieve a grade C or above in Mathematics.

Tutoring Approach: I will focus on their Key Stage target level or grade (this needs to be provided by their school). During a consultation with them (first meeting) I will identify their strengths and weaknesses in ICT. From this I will plan the content of the forthcoming tutoring visits.
