Personal Description: I am a happily married 47 year old father of 4 children, (aged 3 years to 26 years). Eldest child graduated from University, 2nd child graduating 2009, 3rd child sitting A levels and youngest child about to start reception class. As you can see, nothing can phase me as I have experienced most of it already. My hobbbies are reading, singing, football and fishing. I live in Northumberland which allows me to offer tuition in Northumberland, North Tyneside and Newcastle areas.

Tutoring Experience: I have over 20 years of primary teaching experience as a classroom teacher, the last 5 as a deputy headteacher. I have taught across Key stages 1 and 2 and have had a wealth of experience teaching and delivering SATS. I have a Bachelor of Education Honours degree and have just completed my NPQH (national professional qualification for Headship) and am currently applying for headteacher positions.

Tutoring Approach: I am a very approachable,reasonable person who believes in equality of opportunity for all. I am caring, considerate and have a good sense of humour (which I have found to be essential). I use interactactive materials and IT resources to aid the teaching and learning experience and am aware of Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic styles of learning and incorporate these into my teaching.
