Personal Description: If you are taking modules in January, I would be delighted to help. I have long experience of helping with those last minute worries. We can review troublesome topics and make sure they make sense. I can help you organise revision as well as walk through or thoroughly mark past papers.
If time is pressing, consider online tuition. I use a tablet PC as an interactive whiteboard with audio to teach over the net.
I am 44 years old and live in Hertford. After several years in the software industry, I returned to academia and am now completing my PhD in Theoretical Physics.
Tutoring Experience: I have very extensive experience of tutoring from primary to undergraduate level. I am an associate lecturer with the Open University and have been a volunteer helper in my son's primary school.
Tutoring Approach: If you are struggling with key concepts or find it hard to see how the different parts of the subject fit together, I will work carefully and patiently with you to help you overcome these obstacles and gain greater confidence.

He is friendly, flexible in his arrangements and made her feel immediately at ease (which an attempt with a different organisation and tutor failed to do) and has helped her to work through past papers and improve her exam technique. His enthusiasm for his subjects is obvious and fingers crossed this boost to her confidence and understanding will bring results.

We found Iain to be a very good tutor and Hannah attained a grade B in her IGCSE maths which really surprised us - mainly her. She would never have managed it without his guidance and obvious thorough knowledge of the subject. Iain has a very pleasant manner, caring and being softly spoken Hannah was tutored in a very calm and clear way which was exactly what she needed. Maths started to make some sense to her after struggling with the subject since she started school so a total success for us. I would have no hesitation in recomming Iain.
