Personal Description: I graduated with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Ancient History and History from the University of Leicester and also have an MA (Merit) in Medieval History from the University of London. I am able to provide tuition in all historical periods, ranging from the ancient and classical to the modern. Trying to understand the past is a complex and dificult process and I have always gained great satisfaction in helping others achieve their academic potential.

Tutoring Experience: Both my degrees have involved the presentation and explanation of historical concepts and information at a university level.

Tutoring Approach: Client requirements will naturally dictate the exact nature of tutoring but, when applicable, there is usually close adherence to either the national curriculum or whichever examination board the pupil is following. I try to encourage pupils to develop their own areas of interest within specific historical areas while keeping within guideline specification. I also like to pay attention to essay writing and exam technique.
