Personal Description: I am 23 years old. I was born in Austria/Vienna and came to the United Kingdom two years ago to finish my studies. After finishing school I started to study English and International Development at the University of Vienna but stopped after one year and decided to do a diploma course for Arts Management. In September 2008 I moved to London and finished these studies at London's South Bank University. I have always been very interested in film and decided that I want to work within the film industry. Since September 2009 I am a student at the National Film and Television School where I do a 12-month course for Production Management. I would say that I am an easy-going, communicative, friendly and humorous person. Besides from my interest in film I enjoy going to theatres, various exhibitions and other cultural events. Music and travelling are further very important hobbies for me.

Tutoring Experience: I have never professionally thought. I did look after a 9 year old boy a few years ago and helped him doing homework and preparing for tests for his German class. I really enjoyed that and always tried to teach things playfully. Here in England I met an English girl who studies German. I proof-read and helped her with her assignments and essays. Further I had German conversation sessions with her and tried to correct her and help her to understand the language.

Tutoring Approach: This depends on what the tutee wants to learn and how quickly she/he wants to learn something. I can offer sessions only focusing on grammar or sentence structure. For someone who has not any previous knowledge I could offer to teach basic things (introducing yourself, how to count, 'every-day objects', animals, colours, asking for the way… etc.) I would provide little exercises and and make sure that the tutee progresses in writing as well as orally.
For tutees with more experience I could offer to help preparing and improving various texts, check spelling. Furthermore I can offer conversation and/or reading sessions. I have also a comprehensive knowledge of German literature.

Qualifications:

• As mentioned before I am native speaker from Austria. I did my A-levels in German, specialising on literature.
