Personal Description: I have a PhD in mathematical physics and tutored students while I was at university.
I worked in IT for many years.
While helping my daughters with their GCSE and A levels I found I had the ability to help people understand difficult concepts and decided to start private tutoring.
I have been tutoring now for for three years full time.

Tutoring Experience: I have been working as a private tutor in a full time capacity for the past three years. This year I have tutored up to 50 students with regular or occasional lessons. I teach all science subjects to GCSE and tutor to advanced level in Maths, Further maths and Physics. This year I have also taught several first year university students.
I teach pupils from a range of state, independent day and boarding schools and am often recommended as a tutor by teachers in the area.

Tutoring Approach: I am patient and appreciate that different people understand subjects such as Maths and Physics in different ways.
I believe that a tutor should help students to solve problems rather than just give them the answers.
I help them gain in confidence so that they are well prepared for exams and able to reach their full potential.
