From Jacqueline (5/5): (GCSE Maths) Derek is an excellent tutor all round so I would rate him 110%. My son said he was very patient with him which certainly helped while learning physics. Derek is very professional in his work and he knows and understands the child's needs so I have no hesitation in highly recommending Derek as a tutor and I wish him well. Home tutoring is not a cheap option, so when my daughter stands in the driveway waiting for Derek to arrive and she is sad that the lesson ends, I know I have the right person for the task ahead. Lincoln gets on well with him, and now after the third lesson is starting to understand more and finding Derek a great help, Derek also offers good advise when needed, which Lincoln seems to take on board, I would recomend Derek as a Tutor.Lincoln is currently studing AS Physics, and we will possibly use Derek next year to help with his AS Maths.

He has got on well with Matthew and appears to have established a good rapport - Derek has a nice, calm approach and teaching style. Derek takes time to check and ensure that Matthew undertands each new topic and has the underpinning knowledge to support the next stage of learning. He has quickly identified the areas where Matthew needs additional support and has organised the teaching plan around these.
