Personal Description: I am an enthusiastic and energetic mum, enjoying the challenges of motherhood and starting on a new career by studying psychology at university.
I love spending time with people and the reward of knowing I've helped make them smile!
I love learning, and always have. In various work roles I have spent much of my time in training and educational roles.
Tutoring Experience: I have helped tutor before in GCSE Maths, though much of the work was going over earlier material to establish good learning and knowledge which the student had not done at school. I was immensely proud that she passed with a B!
I also have younger siblings with a big age gap, and I seem to have spent much of my last few years helping with maths homework or preparation for 11+
I have also spent some time at a local primary school to get work experience, though it made me realise that I much prefer the 1 to 1 interaction and attention of tutoring.
Tutoring Approach: The student probably is lacking confidence and my approach is very much focused around them - building their confidence back, easing the pressure of the task at hand, and giving them belief that they can do it! I am patient and want to make learning fun. I always enjoyed school, and want to be able to pass on this enthusiasm to others. It will be a lesson they will keep throughout life (I hope)
