Personal Description: I am an undergraduate at the University of Warwick currently studying for my degree in mathematics.
I am very enthusiastic about maths and take great pleasure in helping students. I would really like to use my skills and knowledge to help others to enjoy and succeed in maths.
Tutoring Experience: I have taught friends and family in my spare time and I have experience tutoring maths one-on-one at both GCSE and A Level standard. I have also tutored adults and successfully helped students obtain level 1 and 2 certificates in Adult Numeracy. During my final year of 6th Form, I was a teaching assistant in a secondary school class.
Tutoring Approach: I am flexible in how I can provide tutoring; whether it’s helping a student’s understanding, developing a deeper knowledge or providing help with homework. I am willing to tailor my teaching methods to the individual student to ensure that the student gets the most out of the lesson. I am very patient and understanding. I am very good at seeing problems from a student's perspective and can provide different ways to explain new concepts. I aim to improve confidence and encourage enthusiasm in a comfortable environment. Having gone through the exam system very recently I know what is expected of students and can help them develop good exam technique.
