Personal Description: Hi, my name is Conor .
I am a graduate of the University of Portsmouth where I completed an upper second class BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry. Since then I have volunteered my spare time in tutoring young people and adults in Maths and Science, at both GCSE and A-Level. I have experience in teaching in local secondary schools, and have had great success in helping a number of students pass their exams.
Tutoring Experience: Since finishing my degree I have volunteered at a local school and a local sixth form college, where I have taught a range of children and young adults with a diverse mix of abilities in science and maths. Through my experience, I have learned how to motivate and to engage those who have struggled and those who wish to be challanged.
Tutoring Approach: As a tutor I feel it is vital to make the students feel as relaxed as possible. I have a supportive style which can be adapted to suit many needs.
I include all of my travel costs in my fees, so there are no hidden charges!
I am happy to offer a discount for sessions of two or more hours or for block bookings.
For example, a 2 hour session of A Level tuition would save 10% at £45 for the session (or £40 for GCSE Level). You could also book 10 hours of study with me for £190 for GCSE and £215 for A Level - a saving of 15%!

From Vivienne (5/5): (A-Level Chemistry) I was not sure if a tutor was what my son needed but after the first lesson my son, who wishes to apply to medical school, was so impressed with Conor's teaching method that we booked four hours of lesson each week until the date of Matthew's A Level exam. It is a great advantage that Conor is completing teaching training and yet still young enough to remember the challenges of GCSE and A Levels which may be why he was able to put Chemistry A Level in a context that Matthew could grasp. After two years struggling Matthew now feels much more confident in sitting both AS and A2 Chemistry. I would not hesitate to recommend Conor or use Conor next year for my younger son.
