Personal Description:
As well as my tutoring work I am also a qualified counsellor. I am married and have grown up children and 2 young grandchildren. When I'm not working I like walking with my Basset Hound, gardening and painting.
Tutoring Experience:
I am a qualified Primary Teacher with special needs experience and have 15 years experience as a private tutor .
Tutoring Approach:
I like to find each child's individual way of learning and use that to build confidence and skills that can then be taken back into the classroom. I am friendly and approachable and have a good sense of humour, so while a lot of work goes on in the lessons, they are also enjoyable.
Qualifications:
Birmingham University (2000) - BPhil.(Couns) (Bachelors)
Darlington College of Education (1974) - Certificate of Education (Professional)
From Jackie (5/5): (Primary Maths) When I asked Ben what his thoughts were on his lessons with Christa with regards to leaving feedback, his reply was 'awesome'! he also said (with a huge smile) 'she makes it so easy Mummy'
Thank you Christa, not only for the above but for giving my little boy his confidence back in regards to Maths :)
