Information About Chloe
Personal Description: I am an Oxford Graduate in Philosophy Politics and Economics 2008 (and therefore can also teach Politics and Theatre Studies A-level if required) and greatly enjoy tutoring. I am CRB checked I am happy to teach from my home in central Bath or to to travel to yours as long as travel expenses are also paid.
Tutoring Experience: I have been tutoring privately for mainly A and AS-level students on and off for two years. I also have a great deal of experience in working with young people. Whilst at University I ran the summer school programmes for 16-17 year olds who were aiming to apply to Oxford University. As well as co-coordinating the program I would also provide support for the students in their studies set by university tutors during the schools mainly in History and English.
Tutoring Approach: My aim is always to build the confidence of my students starting with a level with which they feel comfortable but then setting high standards and pushing them to achieve these goals. I aim to enable rather than to spoonfeed and will happily let students guide the tutorials to suit what they feel they need to work on but will equally create a clear structure to work with if I fell the student is less confident.

From Debbie (5/5): (A-Level English) Thank you Chloe for all the help you gave Ella, I know she was only able to have 5 lessons with you before her exams but I know she found it a great help and you filled in the gaps that she was not sure about. She also found you very easy to get on with and enjoyed your tuition. If she has any problems at Uni I know she will be wanting to contact you for more help.
From Katharine (5/5): (Primary Maths) Chloe has been a great help so far with Martha and has used fun and different ways to make maths exciting for her. She enjoys her lessons and her attitude towards maths, and her feelings about herself and maths have changed after jsut three lessons.
From Annette (5/5): (A-Level History) Chloe has been great in helping me to understand how to structure an essay, making it RELEVANT TO THE QUESTION, rather than a simple narrative. It's also been good to get ideas from someone outside the A level history course, who doesn't have any bias/preconceived ideas. Also i've been taught to form opinions of what happened, thinking about the consequences of peoples actions/ what the effects were, instead of regurgitating information from textbooks and teachers, and forming ambiguous opinions.
All in all her help has been invaluable, and i hope the grades keep climbing.
