Personal Description: I am a 29yr old mother of 2 living outside of Bath in the countryside. We have 2 cats and a dog and are very much outdoor type people. We are moving to a bigger house in a few months in the chew valley-hinton blewitt. I have been teaching full-time(apart from going on maternity leave-max 5 months) for 6 years. The subjects i have been doing are health and social care level 2 and 3(btec), sociology AS and A2 and i tutored a GCSE students in history and a KS3 student(yr9) in english. I am resigning as of the end of the school year-july and am looking for alternative work. i am free on a monday. I am originally from South Africa, where I qualified as a secondary school teacher in history and english

Tutoring Experience: 6 years of health and social care(GNVQ,BTEC) GCSE and post 16 teaching
5 years of Sociology AS and A2
some tutoring of english(Yr9) and history(GCSE)
I am originally from South Africa, where I qualified as a secondary school teacher in history and english. Gained QTS december 2008.

Tutoring Approach: I have quite a relaxed approach(but not too relaxed) . I will discuss with the pupil which ways that they find easiest to learn/do coursework. we will try different things until we find the best approach. make a timetable and divide the work up and then work round that. We will have a recap of a few minutes at the beginning of the session and then make targets at the end for the next session. i like the students to be relaxed, so will create that environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts History and Anthropology 2001
• PGCE secondary in english and history 2002
• both the baove completed at Rhodes University between 1999-2002
• QTS in england december 2008
