Personal Description: I am a training neurologist at St George's University Hospital, London and am writing up my research project. I am also a personal tutor and OSCE examiner at St George's University of London and therefore in a great position to tutor any medical students who need extra help in passing their exams and understanding how medical school exams work.

I have A levels in Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry. While I understand that the modern A-level format has changed since my time, I am very comfortable teaching upto GCSE level for now. Once I am more familiar with current A-levels I could offer tutoring to A-level standards too.

I'd like to think I am friendly and approachable with students and have a lot of patience! I will also be open to feedback from all my students for both my personal development and to improve the teaching standards I provide.

Tutoring Experience: I have taught medical students for the past 6 years as part of my work schedule. I have mostly concentrated on clinical work up to now, but am keen to teach pre-clinical level too. As mentioned above, I am a personal tutor and OSCE examiner.

I the past I have also taught GCSE mathematics to an adult learner who did very well in her exam.

Tutoring Approach: I prefer 1-2-1 or small group teaching. I would prefer it if the student(s) informs me of the subject they would like to learn about (e.g organic chemistry) a few days in advance so I can prepare appropriately. I like interaction and need the student to inform me if they are finding things difficult so I can try and explain things better.

The tutorials would start with going though the aims/objectives of the session, principals/theories and the examples. At the end there would be a summary.
