Personal Description: Qualified (degree) primary school teacher with experience across whole primary age range 5-11. Thoroughly enjoy working with children and helping them to achieve their goals or overcome difficulties.Enjoy helping children with problems. Very patient,caring and understanding.

Tutoring Experience: My experience covers reception to Year 6
Vast experience in class and with individual pupils.
Mark key stage 2 SAT's papers and single level tests.
Registered with Government 1-1 tuition scheme
Have been tutoring for several years now and through working with QCDA on tests etc I have been able to keep up to date with the latest developments.

Tutoring Approach: It is important to quickly build a caring, supportive rapport with the child and I find this easy to do.
I like to talk to the child and parent about where they envisage problems lie or help is needed, assess child if appropriate and then devise programme suitable to the needs of the child. I like to liase closely with the parents so they feel part of the teaching and how the child is progressing and how they can help the process.
Most of all teaching and learning should be fun and it is extremely satisfying to watch a child grow in confidence.
