Personal Description: I am a University Teacher with three years' experience of teaching French language and literature, Media and Film Studies and literary analysis. I have just finished my PhD at the University of Exeter.

Based in the Eyemouth area, I am happy to travel to most addresses within Berwick or Dunbar and nearby.

Tutoring Experience: 3 years university tuition in Literature (English and French), Film and Media Studies courses.

2 years private tuition in English Language and Literature (both in France and the UK).

Tutoring Approach: I have a very goal orientated approach to teaching and always like to agree the timescale and intended results at the beginning of each session. This allows us to spend the last few moments of the session assessing progress against them & evaluating progress.

I always prefer the tutee to discover the answer through exploration, rather than learning techniques by rote (which can reduce flexibility and hinder further application of the procedure).

I offer the first hour lesson for free so that you can find out if you like me.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Interdisciplinary Research (Film and History).
• MRes in European Cultures
• BA (Hons) in Modern European Languages
• LTHE Teaching Certificate and TEFL certification
