Tutoring Experience
UK qualified secondary Maths teacher with experience of state-school teaching and a decade of mentor/tutoring knowledge. Tutoring is my professional calling and my decision to pursue a teaching career stemmed from my very positive experiences of providing tuition. I provide academic tuition and mentoring to adult and school-aged learners. I also help with Entrance exam preparations; i have enjoyed much success helping students achieve admission into some of the UK's top private/public schools. I am pleased to note that the majority of my service users have come through references from other tutees.
Tutoring Approach
Determination, home-work and a belief that it can be done are all we will need to succeed. From experience, I know that in as little as 3 weeks much progress can be made.
My tutoring style achieves best when the objective is based on the acceptance that: Although we can not all be THE best, we can all be OUR best. My goal as a tutor is simple - to enable my tutees to become successful independent learners who are not just able to pass the next assessment but continue successfully in their academic journeys. Becoming a permanent fixture in your lives is not the plan; your progress is my success.
Every tuition commitment begins with a diagnostic assessment; I need to judge for myself current areas of strength/weakness. A sure foundation is the only way to guarantee our objectives are successfully met and that we lay a solid foundation for continued academic endeavours. Every lesson is planned and H/w provided. Lesson delivery is done very much with the learner's individual learning style in mind.
